Jerome Dahan

Jerome Dahan grew up in Paris and came of age in Montreal, where in the mid ’70s, he designed his first pair of jeans, which featured embroidered back pockets-an innovation in the early days of designer denim. In the early 1980s, he migrated to Los Angeles, helping establish it as a world capital for the design and manufacturing of premium blue jeans. Dahan’s passion for denim as both a material and an industry has led to a string of high-profile design and brand-building positions at Guess and Lucky Jeans. As a founder of Seven For All Mankind, he brought the concept of luxury denim to the U.S. market and built a 21st century global brand. After a quarter of a century working in the industry, Dahan has emerged as a true visionary. Citizens of Humanity is the ultimate expression and realization of what a denim company can be.

USA : Denim pioneers Jerome Dahan & Adriano Goldschmied shakes hand

Citizens of Humanity, a leader in denim design and fashion apparel, announced that it has joined forces with denim industry pioneer, Adriano Goldschmied. Mr. Goldschmied will join the company as a partner and Executive Vice President of Product Development. In addition, Mr. Goldschmied will continue to design the GoldSign brand, the luxury denim label he founded. He will work side by side with Citizens of Humanity CEO and founder, Jerome Dahan. "Adriano has long been a mentor to me and his mastery of denim is unparalleled," said Mr. Dahan. "The premium denim industry simply would not exist without Adriano. He possesses an endless curiosity for the ways in which denim can be rendered. Adriano is a true artist." Over his thirty-year career, Mr. Goldschmied has created brands such as Diesel, Replay, AG Adriano Goldschmied and GoldSign, which have collectively shaped the modern denim landscape. "What everyone asks is 'what's next?,'" Mr. Goldschmied said, "The opportunity to collaborate with an old friend like Jerome is a dream come true.
